Introduction: Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. was founded in 1997. It is a globalized automobile brand located in China. Chery is the automobile manufacturer mainly for sedans and SUVs, production in around 15 countries. Chery and Jaguar Land Rover joint venture for an assembly production line in China for Jaguar and Land Rover cars.

A case here is the automatics gluing system. In additional to the positioning by robot arm, there are multiple cameras system to be a supervisor vision for position order, and streaming video back to the Quality Control system for criterial inspection. This QC analysis system is running on remote data center.

In automatic gluing system, camera scan the car body, get positioning and arrange the gluing scheduling then inspection, all processes control and judgment by remote QC analysis system.

Remote Production QC Challenges:

  2. QC application is running on data center, real-time video processing
